I set up my neocities account a while back but didn't quite have an idea solidified yet. Then as I started coming up with ideas about what to put here, I began to get overwhelmed by the isea of designing it, picking colors, etc.
So I decided that that's a project to start another day. White page with black text was good enough for me as a user for a long, long time - never stopped me from using a GameFAQs guide! I know the thing that will help me most is to see progress, so I put up some very simple, small content: some links and a couple of poems I had stored elsewhere.
I feel fortunate that I'm not starting COMPLETELY from zero, in terms of setting up a website. I understand how file structures and HTML tags work, at least. And neocities is a huge boon. Establishing real hosting has always been a barrier for me, with all its steps and questions.
I will ask for help with colors and images, probably, although I think I want to roll with a bright-colors theme, 90s-ish. I probably want a header/navbar/content/footer setup for now, layout-wise, eventually.
Next thing will be adding borders around the updates here, and around the poems. I guess that should be its own CSS class, maybe, since I'll want that for my solo rpg posts eventually too? CSS scawwy :(
